Krystle Patel, according to her website: “writes, makes music and performs. Some parts of the art world appreciate her work, others find it confusing. She enjoys putting things over her head or the heads of others. She thinks it’s important to touch on literature, theory and popular culture. Krystle has shared her work in institutions and in living rooms. Krystle likes to talk to people. Krystle loves art, and however demoralising it can be, would rather be an artist than a dentist any day.”

Forma
is a contemporary arts organisation based in Southwark, London. Driven by artists and their ideas, they develop collaborative interdisciplinary projects that challenge existing practices, span multiple artistic disciplines and demand new levels of ambition.
Kryslte’s performance was a great excercise in taking the artist’s work and trying to document it not to be true to how the work was seen at the time, but what it did. As is always my goal, and I think this job is pretty much doing that.
